Three slots mountable for various modules are provided at the lower part of the
PSC7000 control card. At the present time, the following modules such as DSP module,
PG module or the like can be mounted into the slots in the case of need.
• DSP Module:
This module includes the built-in DSP processor in order to execute servo control
programs. At least one DSP module is necessary in this control card.
• PG Module:
This module provides 5 channels for incremental pulse encoder input (hereafter
called as PG input), and 5 channels for analog output.
• SERCOS Module:
This module is the SERCOS master module in order to realize SERCOS communication
with the drive system.
The PG module mountable on the PSC7000 control card has independent 5 channels
each for input and output circuits. Therefore, one PG module can control
independent five axes at the same time. The PSC7000 control card can provide the
maximum two PG modules, which can control ten axes. Each channel has the following
input and output.
• PG input: Two phase pulse with 90 degree phase-difference, and Z pulse.
• Respective mark and origin latch input.
• +/-8V or +/-10V analog output.
